Overview
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry seeks to engage a Business Analyst through a labour‑hire arrangement to support the Live Animal Exports (LAE) program. The role will analyse the current regulatory model, develop a leaner regulatory approach, and provide options that maintain or improve exporter compliance and animal welfare outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Analyse the current LAE operating model to identify duplicative processes, risk points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide advice on restructuring the LAE program into a lean regulatory model, balancing compliance requirements with practical implementation.
- Collaborate with Department personnel and external stakeholders to develop solutions to challenging stages or components of the engagement.
- Produce detailed reports and presentations that explain findings, recommendations, and expected impacts on compliance and outcomes.
- Support the development of future Cost Recovery Implementation Statements and engagement with industry partners.
- Participate in knowledge‑transfer activities, providing training related to the services delivered and documenting learnings.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all relevant security, intellectual property and data storage requirements.
