About the role

You will facilitate high quality teaching that is informed by research and incorporates innovative online and face to face learning activities and assessments to ensure a high level of student satisfaction and pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development of course material related to clinical placement and professional practice lecturing and placement management.
  • Preparation and delivery of lectures and tutorials.
  • Assessment design, development and delivery.
  • Support ongoing curriculum development and quality assurance processes for all aspects of internal and where appropriate external accreditation requirements for the School.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with nursing staff and stakeholders by providing education, clinical placements and programs of study for University of Notre Dame students.
  • Be active in the recruitment of students and the marketing of the programs offered by the School.
  • Work collaboratively with other academic staff members to ensure coherence and quality in all aspects of the academic program.
  • Qualifications, skills & experience

  • A level B Academic Staff Member will have qualifications and / or experience recognised by the institution as appropriate for the relevant discipline area.
  • Significant experience in tertiary education and at least five years nursing experience.
  • Current nurse registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated leadership in academic and professional activities within Nursing along with an established record of contributions to teaching, research excellence and publication, and / or professional practice.
