About the role

You will facilitate high quality teaching that is informed by research and incorporates innovative online and face to face learning activities and assessments to ensure a high level of student satisfaction and pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities

Development of course material related to clinical placement and professional practice lecturing and placement management.

Preparation and delivery of lectures and tutorials.

Assessment design, development and delivery.

Support ongoing curriculum development and quality assurance processes for all aspects of internal and where appropriate external accreditation requirements for the School.

Maintain ongoing relationships with nursing staff and stakeholders by providing education, clinical placements and programs of study for University of Notre Dame students.

Be active in the recruitment of students and the marketing of the programs offered by the School.

Work collaboratively with other academic staff members to ensure coherence and quality in all aspects of the academic program.

Qualifications, skills & experience

A level B Academic Staff Member will have qualifications and / or experience recognised by the institution as appropriate for the relevant discipline area.

Significant experience in tertiary education and at least five years nursing experience.

Current nurse registration with AHPRA.

Demonstrated leadership in academic and professional activities within Nursing along with an established record of contributions to teaching, research excellence and publication, and / or professional practice.

Excellence in communication, teaching, leadership and organisation
