This is a permanent part-time (0.6FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2026

The Role

Mindarie SC is seeking a dynamic, experienced and suitably qualified educator to join our Technology and Enterprise learning area.

The successful applicant should have the ability to teach the General courses : Food Science and Technology, Children, Family and Community and Design (Textiles). The ability to teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Food Science and Technology, Certificate II in Community Services and / or additional subjects outside of Technologies would be highly regarded.

As a Home Economics teacher, you would contribute to a collaborative and innovative team, supporting curriculum planning and delivering engaging learning programs tailored to the needs of our senior students. You should model exemplary teaching practices and display a strong repertoire of instructional strategies to foster student success.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Have experience teaching the relevant courses and ideally hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the senior secondary Western Australian Curriculum.
  • Are reflective practitioners with strong data literacy and the ability to adapt teaching to meet student needs.
  • Display professional knowledge and a commitment to delivering a relevant and engaging Technologies curriculum.
  • Are enthusiastic team players who contribute positively to a dynamic learning environment.

    Eligibility

  • hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. More information about employment eligibility can be found on our website.
  • apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start;
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
