The Careers Counsellor must have a thorough knowledge of the requirements of the HSC and ATAR, the role of UAC and an extensive knowledge of career pathways post school, including TAFE and School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships.
The role of the Careers Counsellor is to support students and to help them think through how they can service Christ and use their gifts for the glory of God post school and throughout their careers.
The Career Counsellor is to show godly leadership to students in all their interactions as they assist students and parents in navigating the vast array of career opportunities.
The School
We have a glorious task here at Covenant Christian School. We have the privilege of bringing the Gospel truth, as revealed in the Bible, to every aspect of education. We do this because we know that Christ is supreme in all things (Colossians 1 : 15-17), including the academic, sporting, creative and cultural spheres.
It is our prayerful hope that every student who enters our care will understand that they are known and loved deeply by the Lord, and that a genuine relationship of faith will be evident in their life, not simply at school, but for all of life.
Whilst glorious, this task is far from simple, and so it is with prayerful dependence upon the Lord that we seek to make him the foundation and the measure, the compass and the pulse, the fabric and the thread of all we do.
Whilst we seek to do all things with rigour, our barometer for student success will be shown in faithful service of the Lord using the gifts he has given for his glory.

To faithfully serve in God’s plan to restore all things under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
