WSP’s Rail, Maritime & Freight team in Australia is seeking a talented Design Manager – Maritime Infrastructure to lead the delivery of complex, high-impact maritime projects across the country. Reporting to the Regional Manager, Rail, Maritime & Freight, this is a rare opportunity to shape the future of Australia’s ports, intermodal facilities, and coastal infrastructure through innovative design leadership . You’ll be joining a nationally respected and globally connected Maritime team, contributing to some of the most technically challenging and rewarding projects in the sector.

You Will

• Lead the delivery of large, complex Design & Construct (D&C) and detailed design maritime infrastructure projects across Australia.
• Provide strategic design oversight from concept through to detailed design phases.
• Provide strategic design leadership across multidisciplinary teams focused on port and intermodal infrastructure.
• Work closely with contractors to lead and coordinate design delivery, ensuring alignment with construction methodologies and project objectives.
• Manage project scope, quality, budget, and schedule with precision and accountability.
• Collaborate with global maritime specialists to deliver world-class solutions.
• Engage directly with clients to understand needs and deliver tailored outcomes.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering technical excellence and career growth.
• Contribute to business development through proposal leadership and industry engagement.
• Represent WSP at maritime industry events, including presenting technical papers and thought leadership.
