Job Description

The opportunity

We are currently seeking a dedicated and team-oriented Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our day surgery team. While scrub / scout experience is highly regarded, we welcome all perioperative backgrounds including anaesthetics or recovery.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and compassionate care to patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures.

In this role, you will :

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care with a strong focus on patient safety and surgical excellence.
• Perform scrub / scout duties or support anaesthetic / recovery functions depending on your experience.
• Liaise effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other theatre staff to ensure seamless case flow.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
• Actively contribute to a positive team culture and continuous improvement of clinical practices.

Whitehorse Day Surgery is conveniently located in the heart of Box Hill, VIC, adjacent to the Box Hill Hospital medical precinct and nearby to major shopping and transport hubs.

We provide a variety of surgical proceduresincluding retinal surgery, cataract and laser cataract surgery, glaucoma management, pterygium surgery and oculoplastics (reconstructive surgery).
