Position Information

Killarney Heights High School is a comprehensive co-educational school with a population of 980 students, 43% EALD, located 20 minutes from the Sydney CBD in a bushland setting near the northern beaches of Sydney. Specific Selection Criteria

• Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position.
• Approval to teach Legal Studies and Geography with proven success in the classroom using explicit teaching practices.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver rigorous programs, which effectively assess student progress, provide quality feedback and differentiate to meet the needs of all students.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to build strong working relationships with staff, students, parents and the wider school community.
• Capacity to implement whole school Positive Behaviour for Engaged Learning framework to consistently to manage student wellbeing and behaviour.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
