Market & Resource Recovery Attendant

Iolar Operational Services (IOS) is seeking to engage experienced individuals to work as a Market Attendant and Resource Recovery Centre Attendant at the Beerwah and Witta Resource Recovery Centres on the Sunshine Coast. IOS manage and operate the resource recovery, bulk stockpile area and market of these sites on behalf of Council.

• Preferred skills include
• Retail, pricing and sales experience desirable
• Waste management experience is desirable.
• Workplace Health and Safety knowledge and experience in the implementation of system requirements.
• Computer / tablet and mobile phone literate.
• Good customer service and experience with dealing with challenging situations.
• Willingness and capability to work outside and undertake labouring activities.

• Beerwah & Witta RRCs (_additional work at Mapleton, Kenilworth, Yandina & Nambour as required)_

• Days of Work
• Every Saturday. Tuesday / Thursday work is also available at the market.
• Hours of Work
• 5.5 to 7.5 hours / day
• Pay Rates
• Weekdays : 32.06 / hr and Saturday : minium of 38.48 / hr (in accordance with the General Retail Industry Award and relevant classification).
• Fixed Term Contract
• 3 years _(fixed term, initially to 31st October 2026)_
