About the Role

At DON, we’re passionate about developing great people who make great food. As our Training & Capability Lead, you’ll shape how we grow, train, and empower our Castlemaine workforce to perform at their best every day.

This is an opportunity to lead a small, dynamic team and take ownership of DON’s training and capability framework from onboarding and compliance to leadership and operational excellence. You’ll design and deliver learning programs that have a real impact on safety, performance, and culture across a large‑scale manufacturing site that’s proud of its people and history.

Responsibilities

• Lead with purpose : Oversee the training and capability function, ensuring employees have the right learning experiences at the right time.
• Drive strategy : Develop and deliver a capability roadmap aligned to business goals and operational priorities.
• Inspire your team : Coach and guide a small team of training coordinators and a systems administrator to deliver effective, engaging, and compliant training outcomes.
• Deliver impact : Lead key learning programs including Frontline Leadership, Manufacturing Excellence (ManEx), onboarding, and compliance learning.
• Ensure excellence : Maintain training compliance and audit readiness across a complex operational environment.
• Champion learning culture : Partner with leaders to embed capability development into day‑to‑day operations and continuous improvement efforts.
