Job descriptionCompleted a Degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia. A minimum of 5 years’ post graduate experience across all project development phases from concept design, FEED, and detailed design to site commissioning. Experience with PLC, HMI, VSD, SCADA, DCS, instruments, industrial networks, electric motors, switchboards, and MCCs. Applied knowledge of relevant Australian Standards including AS 3000, and AS 3008.1.1. Experience with Safety in Design practices and design risk assessment. Experience with preparing proposals. Ability to proactively interact with clients, stakeholders, project managers, engineers, and designers from other disciplines to develop best for client and project outcomes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to interface with clients and internal stakeholders effectively. Ability to travel and work on clients’ sites. Desirable but not essential : Experience with data centres, energy and renewables projects; EI&C design for Hazardous Area; Functional Safety Assessment.
Senior Electrical & Instrumentation & Control Engineer
As our new EI&C Engineer, you’ll be a vital part of the Industrial EI&C team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable.

Senior Electrical, Instrumentation and Control (EI&C) Engineer. Aurecon is a leading design, engineering and advisory company with a focus on sustainability and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed design of LV / ELV electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
- Configuration, programming, and development of PLC / HMI / SCADA / DCS platforms.
- Selection and configuration of VSD, electrical devices, instruments, and sensors.
- Providing solutions for clients’ technical needs.
- Preparing technical and fee proposals for tenders.
- Client liaison and support.
- Travelling to clients’ site.
- On-site testing and commissioning.
- Developing innovative approaches to solve technical problems using AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Automation tools.
