About The Role
Babcock is seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineering Technician (Supportability) to lead and manage corrective and preventive maintenance tasks across Mission and Support Systems. This role is pivotal in delivering technical leadership and supportability engineering expertise within our Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and engineering programs.
Key responsibilities :
- Lead the planning and execution of complex Mission and Support System maintenance tasks that directly enhance operational readiness and system reliability.
- Drive technical excellence across Integrated Logistics Support activities, including maintenance optimisation, life cycle cost analysis and technical investigations.
- Act as a key technical authority, shaping engineering solutions and mentoring teams while influencing outcomes across Defence maintenance programs.

Qualifications and experience :
At least eight years of experience in maintenance delivery, ideally within the Defence sector.Minimum of two years managing maintenance programs.Technical expertise in ILS, engineering frameworks and maintenance toolsets.Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.Hold a technical vocational qualification (diploma or associate degree) and a certification with a relevant technical body or working towards one.Australian citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Commonwealth Defence Security Clearance (AGSVA).Benefits & Support
