About the role
As our Logistics Coordinator , you’ll play a vital part in keeping Australia’s coastlines safe and navigable. This role is your opportunity to take ownership of logistics, warehousing, and inventory management for the Aids to Navigation (AtoN) support services we deliver along the Australian coastline. Your efforts will directly support the operation and excellence of hundreds of maritime navigation aids, ensuring that essential maritime infrastructure continues to guide vessels and protect our coasts.

What you will do
You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end logistics function : managing inventory, procurement, warehousing, transportation, and asset disposal. You’ll ensure assets are maintained in optimal condition, and all activities comply with our customer requirements and Kordia’s commitment to quality, safety, and environmental best practice.
Managing inventory records (using ServiceNow) and maintaining stock levels for around 300 assets
Coordinating the procurement of consumables, spare parts, and new assets, including supplier liaison and budget tracking
Overseeing transportation, labelling, and environmentally compliant disposal of assets
Preparing accurate monthly logistics reports and maintaining traceability records
Ensuring all documentation meets contractual and regulatory requirements
Maintaining and optimising warehouse facilities and storage processes
Collaborating closely with technical staff and supporting equipment testing
Upholding high standards of quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance in all activities
What you will bring
At least 3 years’ experience in logistics, freight coordination, or inventory management (preferably using ServiceNow)
Qualification in logistics, supply chain, technical skills, or similar (preferred)
Understanding of asset management and packaging standards for sensitive equipment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple urgent requests under pressure
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Physical capability for warehouse operations
Forklift license or willingness to obtain
Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
Previous experience as electronics technician or similar role.
Hands‑on experience with electronic testing and circuitry.
Familiarity working with various tools and equipment.
An associate degree or apprenticeship as electronics technician.
