Job descriptionIndependently lead projects that transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that drive decision‑making within Woolworths Supermarkets. Utilise SQL and Google BigQuery to efficiently extract, manipulate, and analyse data from customer transaction data. Support analysts and graduates in technical and problem‑solving skills; provide guidance and mentoring. Contribute to ad‑hoc analytical requests by performing data exploration, identifying trends, and summarising findings to address specific business questions. Proactively identify and investigate data patterns, anomalies, and opportunities, communicating findings effectively to the team. Manage stakeholder expectations and pipeline management. 4‑6 years of experience with data analytics & insights. Advanced SQL skills. Intermediate Python skills. Experience in data science / machine‑learning projects desirable. Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Google Sheets and Slides. Exposure to commercial or retail stakeholders; prior end‑to‑end project leadership is encouraged. Team discounts across Woolworths Group brands and a robust rewards program. Senior Analyst – WiQ Insights
Join Woolworths Group as a Senior Analyst on the WiQ Insights team, working on high‑impact projects that leverage customer transaction data across the retail business.
Location
- Norwest, Surry Hills & Eveleigh office locations (Melbourne or Brisbane) with a hybrid work environment, 2 days a week working from home.
Reporting
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Analytics & Insights.
