About the Role

This Manager supports the Campus Operations team within the Building and Property division in the delivery of their strategy and operations. The role manages a range of strategic and operational activities, process improvements, contract management and finance management for Monash University’s Building Automation and Digital Buildings function. The Manager supports essential operational technologies and digital systems to optimise building performance, enhance customer experience, and drive sustainability outcomes across all campuses.

Reporting to the Deputy Director, Services, this role oversees the operation of the University's Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Alarm Incident Management System (AIMS), providing leadership, operational management, and proactive risk oversight while leading an internal team of specialist BAS engineers, supervising staff, and managing external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage BAS and AIMS operations and performance.
• Lead process improvements and contract management.
• Provide finance management for building automation budgets.
• Deliver analytics and data‑driven insights to improve operational effectiveness.
• Motivate and develop a high‑performance team committed to safety and excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
