Head of Department (Curriculum) - Baralaba State School

Baralaba State School is looking for a passionate Head of Department (Curriculum) to join our team and support the implementation of the Version 9 Australian Curriculum with a lens to quality assure and strengthen school processes, planning and delivery of all key learning areas across K-10.

About The Role

Responsibilities include, but not limited to :

• Lead and Inspire Learning : Drive the development and implementation of a shared educational vision that delivers high-quality learning outcomes and continuous improvement across all year levels (K-10).
• Promote Equity and Excellence : Embed socially just practices, uphold high standards for student and staff performance, and ensure inclusive and supportive learning environments.
• Drive Literacy and Quality Assurance : Lead whole-school literacy improvement initiatives and establish strong quality assurance processes to monitor and enhance teaching and learning.
• Foster Collaboration and Partnerships : Build and maintain effective partnerships with students, parents, staff, government agencies, and community groups to support educational goals.
• Strategic and Responsible Leadership : Manage human, financial, and curriculum resources effectively, stay informed of relevant legislation and policies, and model lifelong learning and professional growth.
