Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is the team behind the cloud. Within CO&I, the Global Datacenter Engineering (GDCE) team is responsible for delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsoft’s cloud business. The MS portfolio consists of complex, multi‑disciplinary, large‑scale, multi‑year datacenter construction and lease projects. We are looking for a passionate, high‑energy individual to help build the cloud datacenters that power the world’s largest online services.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of leased datacenters in the APAC region, acting as the primary point of contact between internal and external parties.
- Ensure technical alignment between Microsoft Requirements and lessor designs.
- Manage escalations, schedule meetings, and close gaps in information.
- Lead and manage a team of Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure information meets each discipline’s standards for lease review.
- Report on program health based on metrics and coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Manage external AE contracts and support design feasibility for lease retrofits.
- Govern technical compliance with Microsoft’s requirements through review of lease provider’s design documents.
- Provide expertise to collect performance metrics and monitor progress.
- Operate portfolio information tools and manage the document repository.
- Define program goals and prioritize multiple projects or functional areas.
- Drive employee growth and development, executing projects, and managing performance.
- Consult with engineering / architectural SMEs on technical matters as appropriate.
- Provide technical support to the lease site acquisition team on design‑related items post‑contract execution.
- Evaluate and grade lease provider engagement, documentation, and engineering staff responsiveness.
- Evaluate and grade any external engineering and architectural firms.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of experience in engineering, technical program management, or equivalent.1+ years of people‑management experience.3+ years of experience managing cross‑functional and / or cross‑team projects.High level of proficiency and technical understanding of mission‑critical environments on a multidisciplinary level.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong teamwork spirit in a diverse and inclusive environment.Able to work with other technical and non‑technical groups in a fast‑paced environment.Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of experience in engineering, technical program management, or equivalent.4+ years of people‑management experience.8+ years of experience managing cross‑functional and / or cross‑team projects.10 years of experience in mission‑critical or hi‑tech industry such as datacenters, large‑scale manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or oil‑and‑gas industry, with proven track record in design and / or project / program management capacity.Knowledge of lease contracts and remedies.Understanding of the datacenter lease market in the region would be highly desirable.Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements is required for this role.
