Associate / Senior Associate - Construction

We are seeking an Associate or Senior Associate with 2-4 years PQE in construction, front-end experience in infrastructure, renewables, solar and wind projects.

About the role

Our lawyers work on high-profile transactions for major clients in the construction and energy sector. We deliver seamless client service ranging from project management, specialised advisory work and dispute resolution.

About the Team

Our market-leading Construction Practice is growing to meet increased client demand. We have a national presence with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and a team led by Emanuel Confos. We work across energy, renewables, health, transportation, power, water, public infrastructure, property and commercial developments, supporting new investment in highly complex projects. We act for a diverse client base including property developers, governments, contractors and engineering / architectural consultants. Our collaborative approach is enabled by a national resourcing model and local expertise across borders.

About You

We are seeking a Construction lawyer with 2-4 years PQE with :

  • hands-on experience on the back-end side of infrastructure, renewables, solar and wind projects; candidates with experience in other contract law-based areas may also be suitable
  • strong academic qualifications and legal qualifications
  • experience in a top-tier or leading international firm preferred
  • strong technical, drafting and commercial skills
  • strong client service ethic, initiative and drive with excellent communication skills
  • willingness to integrate into our national practice and work across multiple jurisdictions
  • ability to work well both in a team and individually
