Responsibilities
- Lead the Maintenance crew in servicing and maintaining premier streetscape areas, including formal gardens, garden beds, roundabouts and centre medians.
- Ensure a high-level, quality horticultural service and maintain safe, attractive and inviting landscape finishes.
- Maintain and beautify public spaces in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and experience
Formal qualifications in horticulture or related area, or extensive experience in these operations.Class MR Driver’s LicenceStaff supervision experienceExtensive experience in maintenance of gardens and landscaped areas including annuals, exotic and native varieties, high-profile, median and roundabout gardensDesirable
Chainsaw operation certificate of competenceSenior First Aid CertificateRTA approved Traffic Controller Implementation AccreditationRemuneration and benefits
Salary and conditions of employment in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise AgreementEntry level for this position starts at $1,408.84 per week38-hour working weekRostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnightEmployee benefits such as leave entitlements, 12% employer superannuation contribution, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubsOur commitment to safety
