The Registered Nurse will provide a comprehensive Child and Family Health Nursing service, with home visits, clinic visits and group work to Aboriginal families with children aged 0-5 years, within the context of current policies and “best practice”.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of person‑centred, evidence‑based nursing care that promotes positive health outcomes, using a culturally sensitive, trauma informed approach.
The Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the broader multidisciplinary team. This will involve undertaking physical, emotional, and psychological assessments to identify family strengths and vulnerabilities, to enable early identification and interventions.
There may be a requirement for the Registered Nurse to work in universal and / or targeted Child and Family Health Nursing services.
