About the company

Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Our client are currently seeking a Project Officer to join their busy team for a 12-month temporary assignment.

About the role

As a Project Officer, you will be part of a team that is tasked with developing and reporting data and insights across a large project. In addition, your key duties are as follows :

  • Develop and manage project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
  • Maintaining project documents, dashboards, registers, item logs and case preparation
  • Developing reports and presentations for senior managers and project stakeholders
  • Identifying risk and associated issues.
  • Recording and reporting identified risks
  • Data reporting
  • Organising meetings and creating minutes from meetings
  • Regular email correspondence and formal communication regards the project to various stakeholders

About you

To be successful in this role, you must have :

  • Previous experience in a project management or any similar role, within a large organisation
  • Understanding of project management methodologies, reporting and risk assessment
  • Flexible approach to work, and able to work in fast paced ever changing environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent problem-solving and high attention to detail skills
  • IT proficient, and able to upskill in new platforms and applications as required
  • Background in disability, social services, or public sector would be desirable

  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • 60.26 per hour + super
  • Immediate start pending clearances
  • Geelong location + hybrid working arrangements available
  • Please note the successful candidate for the role must hold Australian Citizenship and be willing to complete federal police check
