Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Our client are currently seeking a Project Officer to join their busy team for a 12-month temporary assignment.
About the role
As a Project Officer, you will be part of a team that is tasked with developing and reporting data and insights across a large project. In addition, your key duties are as follows :
- Develop and manage project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Maintaining project documents, dashboards, registers, item logs and case preparation
- Developing reports and presentations for senior managers and project stakeholders
- Identifying risk and associated issues.
- Recording and reporting identified risks
- Data reporting
- Organising meetings and creating minutes from meetings
- Regular email correspondence and formal communication regards the project to various stakeholders
About you
To be successful in this role, you must have :
Previous experience in a project management or any similar role, within a large organisationUnderstanding of project management methodologies, reporting and risk assessmentFlexible approach to work, and able to work in fast paced ever changing environmentExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate at all levelsExcellent problem-solving and high attention to detail skillsIT proficient, and able to upskill in new platforms and applications as requiredBackground in disability, social services, or public sector would be desirableBenefits
