Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to coordinate the delivery of multiple related projects and other change initiatives within a complex federal environment. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and program governance skills to ensure successful delivery of outcomes that align with strategic objectives.
The Program Manager will lead and oversee the delivery of project outputs using the Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) methodology, ensuring that all work is delivered to agreed budgets, schedules, quality standards, and desired outcomes. You will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects, coordinating teams, and ensuring alignment with overarching program objectives.
A critical part of this role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, technical teams, and business stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with internal IT staff, executive leaders, and external partners to manage expectations, resolve issues, and deliver high-quality program outcomes.
You will direct multidisciplinary teams to deliver defined work packages, monitor program risks, dependencies, and issues, and ensure effective governance across all streams. The role includes developing and maintaining comprehensive program documentation in line with MSP and PRINCE2 standards, ensuring all artefacts and reports meet compliance and audit requirements.
In addition, the Program Manager will drive continuous improvement by contributing to the enhancement of the organisation’s program management frameworks and practices. You will also be expected to mentor and coach team members, fostering a collaborative culture that promotes knowledge transfer, capability uplift, and accountability.
Finally, you will ensure that all program documentation, communications, and records are maintained in accordance with agency governance and security requirements, while maintaining professionalism and discretion in a sensitive and high-profile environment.
