    Oral Health Victoria (formerly Dental Health Services Victoria) is the leading public oral health agency in Victoria. We aim to improve the oral health of all Victorians, particularly vulnerable groups, and those most in need. Oral Health Victoria (OHV) is funded by the State Government to provide clinical dental services to eligible Victorians. As trusted advisors in public oral health policy and program and guideline development, we continue to contribute to improving oral health in our communities.

    About the role :

    We are seeking a passionate and experienced Health Promotion Officer to join our Population Health team. The Population Health portfolio is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of population health strategies and programs across Victoria.

    Reporting to a Health Promotion Lead, the Health Promotion Officer is responsible for actively contributing to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of established statewide oral health promotion programs. The role will also support the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of new oral health promotion strategies and initiatives that align with Population Health priorities.

    A bit about you :

    • Relevant Qualifications : You hold a tertiary qualification in health promotion, public health, health or social sciences, or a related field that gives you the knowledge to hit the ground running.
    • Drive Impactful Health Promotion Programs : You bring either at least or minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion programs and / or projects.
    • Strong Communication Skills : You communicate clearly and effectively with a range of partners and stakeholders to identify and achieve common goals.
    • Technical Proficiency : You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, with the capacity to quickly adapt to new software and digital systems.
    • Organisational skills and Time Management : You excel at working both autonomously and as part of a team, effectively managing multiple tasks and competing priorities to ensure the successful delivery of project objectives within defined deadlines.

    • Passionate About Working with Diverse Communities : You have a strong background in working with oral health priority population groups, such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, pregnant people, people experiencing homelessness or clients of mental health or disability services.
    • Turn your Health or Not-for-profit experience into Change : You bring valuable experience from the health sector or not-for-profit world, ready to make a real impact!
