Senior Lawyer Litigation - multiple opportunities.

Location : Sydney CBD (Haymarket) or Parramatta, hybrid working options available.

Grade : Clerk Grade 09 / 10.

Salary Range : $129,464 - $142,665 plus superannuation.

Employment Type : Full-Time.

About the Department

The Department of Customer Service Legal team supports a range of regulators. Senior Lawyer roles are available in litigation teams supporting NSW Fair Trading, SafeWork NSW or Building Commission NSW.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clear, concise legal advice and representation across prosecutions, administrative reviews, and litigation.
• Undertake litigation and brief counsel to ensure effective legal representation on behalf of the organisation.
• Analyse and interpret legislation and evidence; draft documents including advice, court pleadings, statement of facts, submissions, briefing notes, and correspondence.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders on legal aspects of breaches of legislation and litigation matters before courts or tribunals; assist in developing guidance or training material to ensure compliance.

About You

You must also hold a Bachelor of Laws or equivalent degree qualification and have at least 4 years relevant post‑qualification experience as a litigator in regulatory prosecutions, criminal law, consumer protection law, building & construction law, WHS law, administrative law and NSW Court and tribunal practice.
