  • Salary Range $76,817 - $85,048 plus superannuationCommunity Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connecting offenders to programs, services and community. CCS provides management of offenders on court orders, serious sex offenders on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole.  About the roleYour primary work location will be based in either Ballarat or Geelong and you will be required to travel across the West Area including Ballarat, Horsham, Geelong and Warnambool to support community work programs.As a Community Work Officer, you will be responsible for providing community work opportunities and contracts to enable individuals to complete their community work hours and orders successfully. You will administer relevant community work practices including monitoring attendance and compliance with requirements at community work placements, and contracting individuals to appropriate local community work sites.You will build and maintain effective relationships with Community Work Supervisors (field staff), community work partners and other relevant stakeholders, produce reports and standard documentation in line with procedural guidelines and undertake on-site risk assessments or other occupational health and safety processes as required.To be successful in this role you will :

  • be able to self-manage, using available information to make sound, timely and well-informed decisions
  • be flexible and adaptable to change
