About the role

Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Fitter - oversee a mobile maintenance team on the 14 / 7 FIFO roster. Deliver high‑quality maintenance and repair of heavy mobile mining equipment, ensuring operational safety and performance.

Responsibilities

Lead a skilled mobile maintenance team following directives from managers and supervisors.

Perform servicing, repair and maintenance of equipment according to Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance system documentation.

Source technical information from reference manuals, technical bulletins and computer‑based systems.

Provide technical guidance to staff and operations personnel.

Order parts and components through the appropriate ordering procedures.

Verify implementation of solutions and address non‑conforming machinery until corrected.

About you

Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent.

At least 5 years of mining experience with exposure to leading or supervising mobile maintenance Heavy Diesel Fitters.

Positive leadership style, exceptional time‑management and ability to pivot around priorities.

Experience managing performance, planning servicing, repair and preventative maintenance of heavy mobile mining equipment.

Strong commitment to health, safety and compliance with required paperwork.

Proactive with quality assurance on all work.

High‑risk work licences (WP, LF, Rigging) are an advantage.
