Heavy Diesel Mechanic
Economix is building a bigger team to meet the demands of our expanding business. We are looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Deer Park Workshop and contribute to the business growth.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Heavy Diesel Mechanic is responsible for ongoing repairs and maintenance of the Economix fleet. The role involves scheduled and priority repairs, preventive maintenance, and annual roadworthy inspections.
Diesel Mechanic duties will include :
- Maintain, service and repair company vehicles
- Diagnose and repair faults and defects in vehicles
- Field servicing / breakdowns as required
- Carry out tasks at the highest standard possible
- Inspections and assessments on vehicles as required (including completion of relevant documentation)
- Conduct all activities in a safe manner
Skills and experience required :
Full Diesel Mechanic qualifications; minimum 3 years experienceTruck servicing abilityExperience diagnosing and repairing faults and defects in vehiclesAbility to follow direction and work autonomouslyExcellent organisational and problem‑solving skillsPhysically fit for heavy workAbility to work in a fast‑paced environmentHeavy Vehicle Mechanics, Earthmoving Equipment highly regardedWhat we offer :
