Base pay range

A$130,000.00 / yr - A$160,000.00 / yr

About the Role :

As the Senior Product Designer, you will be the first design hire and take ownership of end-to-end product design. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to deliver solutions that solve complex user problems while balancing business needs. You’ll play a critical role in shaping both the current product and new initiatives, including establishing design processes and lightweight systems to support scalability.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead discovery and user research to uncover problems, validate opportunities, and inform design decisions
Translate insights into intuitive, elegant solutions that balance customer needs with business goals
Create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, and collaborate with engineers to bring designs to life
Help define and refine the product roadmap through research-driven insights and creative problem-solving
Establish design tooling and practices in Figma to support consistency and speed as we grow
Contribute to product thinking and help shape new areas beyond the current platform

Required Experience :

Strong experience designing digital products, ideally within complex or data-rich B2B SaaS environments

Skilled across the full product lifecycle—from research and discovery through to polished, production-ready design

Comfortable taking the lead as a sole designer, balancing autonomy with collaboration

Confident in solving ambiguous problems, simplifying complexity, and moving quickly in early-stage environments

Excellent communicator who can clearly explain design rationale, collaborate with engineers, and influence stakeholders

A self-starter who takes initiative and enjoys shaping both product direction and how design operates in a growing team
