Total Tools Mt Waverley is looking for a Full‑Time Accounts Payable / Receivable Assistant to join the team. This position will suit someone who thrives on a high level of customer service in a retail environment with excellent verbal and written communication skills. With a store‑based culture, your skills and experience will be utilised in a fast paced environment with many challenges. A confident and friendly phone manner will complement the existing team who prides themselves on meeting deadlines, constantly being organised and insisting on accuracy.

What will you be doing?
Accounts Payable
Process supplier invoices and claimsResolve discrepancies between PO and invoiceStrong analytical and investigative skills required to provide solutions where requiredPrepare payments e.g. weekly, mid‑month and end of monthMonthly supplier reconciliationsRoll AP ledgers for month endAccounts Receivable
Call customers to ensure account is within terms and not a collection risk.Process customer receipts / paymentsEnd to end process of new customer account applicationsMaintain debtor accounts, including credit limits, contacts and account informationSend out monthly customer statementsRoll AR ledgers for month endCash drawer / bank Reconciliation
Reconciling point of sale transactions daily for all tender types (cash payments, EFTPOS, AfterPay, AMEX etc)Daily bank reconciliationsMonitor store cash deposits to make sure they are regularly carried outFollow up any discrepancies with cash drawer / bank transactions promptlyCommunicate with store managers and assistant store managers to investigate any cash drawer discrepanciesDoes this sound like you?
