You’ll work closely with senior team members to ensure the performance, availability, and reliability of systems hardware and software.Important Note : This role requires NV1 security clearances (you don't need to have them now but must be able to obtain them), and is open to Australian citizens ONLY.What You’ll Do : The Systems Analyst is responsible for (but not limited to) : Assisting senior team members under close supervisionMonitoring the performance and availability of systems hardware and softwareInstalling, testing, and maintaining new or modified systems softwarePreparing documentation for use by Systems Design Programmers and Operations staffAnalysing and rectifying operating systems problemsWhat You’ll Bring : We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualities : Previous solid experience in systems administration and programmingBasic skills in the MVS / UNIX / Windows operating system or major sub-systemKnowledge of various software and performance monitoring techniquesKnowledge or understanding of Citrix Technologies is desirableAbility to transform customer requirements into a technical solution and work according to deadlinesExtensive experience and specialist skills in the configuration and maintenance of networking / communications infrastructureStrong analytical skillsAbility to adapt and apply existing techniques and methodologies to new usesAdvanced skills in an operating system (or combinations of) e.g., MVS / XA / SP / UNIX / VAX / AS400 and various database software and network systemsAdvanced skills in programming languages used on site including Cobol, Assembler, CICS, PL / 1, and SQL.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, technology, or a related disciplineITIL V3 Foundation, Citrix Virtualization (CCA-V / CCP-V / CCEV), Citrix Networking (CCA-N / CCP-N), and / or Microsoft MCP, MCSE certifications are desirableWhy Join Us Here at Datacom?Datacom is one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest suppliers of Information Technology professional services.
