Experienced Pipe Welder / Fabricator

Overview

We are a Steel fabrication and Installation business, undertaking a wide variety of custom work including structural steel, stainless pipe welding and architectural metalwork (Mild Steel / Aluminium and Stainless Steel) for engineering construction, commercial and residential building projects.

We have a work opportunity for a fully qualified and experienced boilermaker / welder with demonstrated stainless pipe welding experience (ideally with a 6G TIG welding ticket). You must have fabrication experience (reading drawings, setting out accurately) and be experienced on Stainless TIG / Pulse MIG, and have experience on Mild Steel MIG Welding. Most work is factory based in Brunswick, but regular site work around Melb metro may also involved.

Responsibilities

• Read shop drawings and set out jobs accurately; maintain high attention to detail.
• Weld using Stainless TIG, Pulse MIG, and Mild Steel MIG according to project requirements.
• Work in a steel fabrication environment as part of a small team; demonstrate reliability and punctuality.
• Prepare and inspect fabricated components; take pride in work and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Possibly undertake occasional site work around Melbourne metro as required.

Most work is factory based in Brunswick; regular site work around Melbourne metro may also be involved. In return we offer a variety of work in a central work location.
