About our client

Our client is a packaged building products manufacturer based in Wangara. Widely used throughout WA, their diverse range of products are designed for the construction and renovation markets and made here, on-site.

They have created a new position to support their operational effectiveness and ensure compliance across their factory environment. Over time, this position is expected to evolve into a more senior operations role, with increasing responsibilities and impact.

About the opportunity

This is a dynamic opportunity for someone to take ownership of operational discipline, systems implementation and safety. Working closely with the Operations Manager and taking charge of yard operations, factory oversight, process improvement, and team compliance. With over four direct reports, the role will be pivotal to maintaining efficiency and discipline in daily operations.

In this role, you will :

• Strengthen the on-ground execution of systems
• Monitor and improve production outputs
• Conduct daily safety inspections and report / address minor incidents
• Contribute to continual process improvements
• Implement and enforce systems, rules, and standard operating procedures
• Oversee staff performance and ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols
• Monitor delivery timelines and resolve workflow bottlenecks
• Drive improvements in traffic flow, signage and logistics coordination

About you

You are someone who is confident in enforcing processes and addressing non-compliance in a manufacturing setting. You bring a structured approach to operational challenges and are comfortable having difficult conversations with team members to ensure standards are maintained.

To be successful in this role, you will have :

• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse operations
• Demonstrated ability to implement systems and ensure compliance
• Supervisory experience with a direct management style
• Understanding of safety and process efficiency in logistics and factory environments
• Capability to operate machinery when required
• Forklift licence highly regarded
• Willingness to undertake a medical and drug & alcohol test
