The Position :
We are seeking a hands‑on, experienced Warehouse Manager to manage and coordinate the daily operations of the warehouse team, as well as all aspects of our four warehouses (three in Melbourne and one in WA) and four storage sites located in different Australian states. You will be responsible for :
- Overseeing the daily warehouse operations across all warehouses and storage sites, including inwards and outwards goods, stock control, transfers between warehouses and dispatch
- Managing and leading all warehouse staff, fostering a positive workplace culture and driving performance and accountability
- Ensuring all orders are picked, packed and delivered as per KPI's
- Overseeing receipt of all inbound goods, ensuring accurate checking, counting and storage
- Maintaining accuracy and control of inventory in all warehouses, including co‑ordinating regular rolling stocktakes
- Managing outbound shipments, ensuring effective coordination of road, air, and sensitive freight
- Utilising the logistics and ERP systems to ensure accuracy of stock levels in all warehouses
- Maintaining the accuracy and control of all demonstration equipment
- Ensuring all warehouses are clean, tidy and operating efficiently
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality and inventory standards
- Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency
- Assisting to load / unload trucks using a forklift or walkie stacker, and transfer stock between locations as required
- Managing and maintaining Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to minimise downtime
- Liaising with department heads regarding purchasing, sales, management and service requirements
- Providing hands‑on assistance as required to ensure the warehouses are operating optimally
- Travel to other state warehouses / storage facilities (if required)
You will have :
At least 3 years proven hands‑on Warehouse Management experience.Previous experience using Warehouse Management systems.Experience with scanners and exposure to EDI preferableStrong leadership skillsConfidence in managing people, systems and processesAn attention to detailStock control experienceExcellent communication skillsGood organizational and time management skillsProblem solving abilityAbility to occasionally travel and work outside of business hours, if requiredAbility to work both in a team and autonomously when requiredValid driver's licenceValid forklift licenceWhat we offer :
