About the Role

This role would suit either an existing or aspiring laboratory assistant who enjoys working as part of a team to contribute to the production of high-quality work and on-going patient care.

Positioned in the Anatomical Pathology team, the key responsibilities would be (but not limited to) : specimen handling and data entry, laboratory investigations, MDM organisation, assisting the Anatomical Pathologists, Senior staff and external and internal clients, and mortuary duties.

What you will need

• Victorian Certificate of Education or equivalent. Desirable qualification includes certificate / diploma in laboratory techniques or similar.
• Previous experience working in a diagnostic pathology laboratory would be highly advantageous and preferable.
• Previous working experience in administration / clerical work specifically data entry would also be advantageous.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-changing environment, working both independently and as part of a team.
• Have a high attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
