About Us

The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our Patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person\'s needs.
Join a dynamic and compassionate team as a Triage and Assessment Registered Nurse, where your clinical expertise and collaborative spirit will make a meaningful impact. In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the Emergency Department, PECC, Access, and inpatient teams across diverse healthcare settings to ensure individuals are assessed promptly and directed to the most appropriate care environment tailored to their unique needs.
With a focus on balancing timely intervention and empowering individuals and their support networks, you’ll triage each referral with precision, determining the suitability for ongoing engagement with Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. Your role will also involve delivering comprehensive mental health assessments and fostering respectful, therapeutic relationships with individuals and their families or carers, supporting their journey toward optimal health and wellbeing.
