Some of the practical activities of the role include :

• Supervision and management of geotechnical site investigations, including managing subcontractors
• Organise and conduct field investigation works, including data collection;
• Problem solve difficult geology by using analyses programs, working on projects such as landslides; hazards risk assessments; rock and anchor design
• Adhere to relevant Work Health and Safety requirements
• Prepare proposals by scoping investigations to target project outcomes and client requirements;
• Engage in technical report writing
