Land Development Inspection Officer - Subdivisions

Permanent Full-time (average of 38 hours per week)

In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and conducting inspections of subdivision construction works and private developments to ensure compliance with approved engineering plans, specifications and relevant standards. You will provide ongoing monitoring throughout the construction phase to ensure that all activities are completed in accordance with safety requirements and environmental management plans, including compliance with dust, noise, vibration and other environmental controls to protect the interests of both the Council and the community.

To be successful you should have demonstrated knowledge and experience in road construction materials, methods and stormwater systems, along with strong verbal communication and negotiation skills. Previous experience in civil construction, particularly in roles such as site supervisor, leading hand or road construction operator, will be considered an advantage.

To be considered for this role you must address the following selection criteria when completing your online application :

• Comprehensive knowledge of road construction materials and techniques.
• Knowledge of stormwater systems, pipe‑laying techniques and construction materials.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising subdivision civil works to ensure compliance with approved engineering drawings, technical specifications and statutory requirements.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to coordinate and liaise with developers, consultants, contractors and subcontractors.

We are offering an annual salary range of $99,138 – $106,623 per annum.
