Job Description
Join a growing organisation working on a critical Western Australian infrastructure project. As an Asset Inspector, you’ll be responsible for the inspection, assessment, and reporting of overhead and underground power assets, as well as surrounding vegetation. This will be a drive‑in drive‑out role, working 10 days on and 4 days off. This is a dynamic, hands‑on field‑based role offering both variety and long‑term career prospects in the energy and utilities sector.
- Inspect powerlines, power poles, and associated electrical infrastructure
- Identify and report defects on assets and vegetation encroachments
- Conduct vegetation assessments and issue notices to landowners
- Plan and scope maintenance and upgrade works
- Perform hands‑on tasks such as replacing wires, repairing earths, and installing pole reinforcements
- Enter data accurately via Western Power systems (iPad)
Qualifications
Cert II or III in Electric Service Infrastructure (ESI) Asset Inspection (preferred)White CardValid C‑Class driver's licence or higherBasic computer literacy (Excel, Outlook, data entry on iPad)Strong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyExcellent communication skills for liaising with customers and landownersWillingness to travel and stay away from home when requiredBenefits
