Reporting to the Manager of Communication and Engagement, the Senior Engagement and Communications Officer works across the Commission to deliver high‑level communications and engagement advice to the Victorian Disability Worker Commissioner and the Disability Worker Registration Board of Victoria. The role supports the Commission and Board by providing strategic advice and compiling reports, leads the development of communications strategies for major projects, and champions high standards in all communications.

Accountabilities

  • Develop, deliver and evaluate internal and external communication and engagement strategies and oversee production of print, online and multimedia materials, and face‑to‑face and virtual events.
  • Work collaboratively across the Commission to ensure the delivery of effective communications and engagement that are of a high written and visual standard and comply with Commission and whole‑of‑Victorian Government guidelines, including best practice accessibility and inclusion standards.
  • Initiate and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships, deliver key messages, coordinate stakeholder engagement activities and develop and apply new or contemporary methods to deliver communications services.
