Our national Property & Development practice is led by a team of pre‑eminent partners who have gained a reputation for understanding our client's needs and achieving outstanding results for them.

The firm's Property department adopts a consolidated approach to property and development matters, which is critical for managing timeframes and containing costs. Moreover, the group is unique in terms of its collective experience and depth of expertise, having represented clients in a large number of landmark property and development projects around Australia for nearly half a century.

The Role

An opportunity exists for a junior lawyer with private practice experience (between one to three years' post admission experience) to join the Melbourne property team.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Proven experience working on a range of large‑scale property and development matters (1‑3 years' post‑admission experience, currently in private practice).
• A passion for practising property & development law.
• A commitment to excellence.
• The ability to identify key issues in a legal matter.
• Demonstrated understanding of the commercial context of matters.
• The ability to work independently on a matter (with supervision).
• Sound judgement and a proactive, innovative and outcome‑focussed approach to work.
• Strong drafting and effective negotiation skills.
• The ability to interact with clients confidently and build effective working relationships.
• The ability to work as a productive member of a team.
• Knowledge of up‑to‑date commercial and legal developments.
