Overview

  • Casual hours commencing Semester 1, 2026
  • Face to Face teaching and marking activities, multiple positions available
  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus

About you

As a Casual Teaching Sessional at the School of Management, your responsibilities could include contributing to assessment design, sharing student feedback, engaging with the teaching team, attending meetings, and handling administrative tasks such as course coordination and responding to student queries. The role may involve independent teaching at various academic levels, delivering curriculum content, and managing assessments.

The volume, nature and availability of sessional teaching will vary based on the needs of the school including course offerings, timetabling and student demand.

  • Selection Criteria

  • Teaching and / or recent working experience in the area(s) as mentioned above is essential. Industry experience will be advantageous.
  • Experience in and evidence of teaching excellence in Higher Education at an undergraduate and / or postgraduate level. This includes expertise in online deliveries and the use of teaching technology.
  • Demonstrated the capacity to work effectively and negotiate sensitively with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with a diverse student body, the course team, staff and industry with a commitment to collegiality and teamwork.
  • Undertaken or currently enrolled in a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education will be highly regarded.
