Financial Accountant

We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to commence with a State Government department Financial Accountant is accountable to the Manager Financial Accounting and is responsible for providing a broad range of financial management services. This includes : preparing complex reconciliations; preparing / assisting with financial management advice, monthly financial reporting and annual statutory statements / reports.Experience Requirements : Demonstrated sound communication (verbal and written) skills, with an emphasis on an effective, clear and concise style.Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision and in a team environment, to set priorities and work under pressure in meeting strict deadlines.Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to meet changing requirements and to provide support to others in an environment of change.Ability to use initiative and judgement with a strong commitment to (customer) service excellenceSound knowledge of financial management processes, Treasury and government reporting requirements and accounting standards, particularly as applied in the SA Government environmentExperience in analysis, research and advising on financial management matters including financial reports.Experience in financial accounting, asset accounting, and financial reporting functions including statutory statement preparation.Experience in preparing complex reconciliations whilst ensuring the integrity of the transactional data and effectively resolving problems as they arise.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products, in particular sound MS excel skills.Preferred experience with relevant systems Basware & MasterpieceAll temporary contractors put forward must have a valid Police Clearance check and a copy is to be provided at the interview short-listed candidates will be contacted. 40AUD Australia - SAAdelaideAdelaide5000
