About the role

You will help our customers optimise their service delivery for quality and profitability by making platform data accessible and approachable. This will include maintaining data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and product integrations powering our Analytics and BYOBI product add-ons. This role requires someone who is passionate about providing exceptional service for our customers and their Business Analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test and maintain data pipelines and warehouses
  • Build, test, and maintain the Metabase integration that we use to provide our Lookout Analytics dashboards add-on.
  • Design, deploy, and manage AWS and Heroku infrastructure to support our data pipelines, product integrations, and internal tools.
  • Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure. This includes setting up logging and alerts for all components (we currently use Datadog for monitoring) and updating our customer-facing page status.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Automate provisioning and configuration with GitHub Actions. This also includes security hardening and testing configuration.
  • Maintain public facing documentation to empower Business Analysts and system integrators to use our product add-ons. This includes consulting with Business Analysts for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with SOC 2 such as data governance and security policies.

About you

Your Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 3+ years in a similar role.
  • Proven experience with PostgreSQL. Some experience with other database engines such as SQL Server, OneLake, Clickhouse, etc. would be nice to have.
  • Proven experience with ETL technologies including SQL, Python, and dbt. Dagster and Fivetran would be highly desirable.
  • Proven experience with DevOps including deploying, security hardening, monitoring, and logging on top of AWS. Heroku or Azure would be nice to have.
  • BI experience is highly desirable, especially with Metabase.
  • Software engineering experience is highly desirable, especially with Ruby on Rails.
