About this Position

At PFD Food Services, we bring people together through food and our Connected Customer program plays a key role in how suppliers and customers interact with us through digital platforms.

We’re seeking an IT Test Lead – Connected Customer (Salesforce) to take ownership of the end-to-end testing strategy across the Salesforce Supplier Portal and B2B Commerce solutions. This role is accountable for ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, stable, secure and production-ready across complex, integrated enterprise environments.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys shaping test strategy, leading execution, and providing confidence to the business that what goes live will work, in the real world, not just on paper.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the end-to-end Test Strategy aligned to program and business objectives.
• Establish testing scope, phases, environments, entry / exit criteria and defect management approaches.
• Oversee the development and execution of detailed Test Plans.
• Ensure comprehensive testing coverage across Salesforce Supplier Portal, B2B Commerce, Informatica and legacy platforms.
• Lead and coordinate day-to-day test execution across internal teams, business testers and vendor partners.
• Monitor test progress, manage dependencies and proactively address blockers.
• Validate data migration, synchronisation and integrity between Salesforce and core systems.
• Ensure robust testing of integrations, error handling and non-functional requirements.
• Establish and manage defect and quality management processes, including triage sessions.
• Track defect trends and quality metrics to identify systemic risks and improvement opportunities.
• Enforce quality gates and release readiness / no-go criteria.
• Plan and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business and supplier stakeholders.
• Coordinate performance, load and volume testing for commerce and portal traffic.
• Provide regular, clear test status reporting to program and project leadership.
• Support go-live readiness, cutover validation and post-deployment verification.
• Define and uplift testing standards, promoting test automation where it adds value.
• Drive continuous improvement across testing practices and ways of working.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will bring :

Must Have / Non-Negotiable Experience

• Proven Test Lead experience on complex digital transformation programs, including eCommerce platforms.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end commerce and supplier lifecycle processes.
• Experience testing complex, integrated enterprise environments (e.g. ERP, WMS, integrations).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Extensive experience leading UAT with business and external partners.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models.

Nice to Have Experience

• Salesforce B2B or B2C Commerce and / or Experience Cloud exposure.
• Salesforce certifications.
• Formal testing certifications or qualifications.
