Location : Northpark Private, a 132‑bed hospital located in the rapidly developing Northern Corridor of Melbourne.

Healthscope is a leading provider of private healthcare in Australia specialising in mental health services, early parenting support, obstetrics and surgical services.

Position Responsibilities

The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to the ward / unit to complement the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients. You will provide clinical direction for the unit / ward to ensure efficient and effective management of the area and coordinate the delivery of nursing care that is evidence‑based. In addition, you will be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources and ensure customer service is maintained at optimal levels.

As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will undertake direct patient care as required, providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the nursing team. The role requires one part‑time permanent night duty and one part‑time flexible roster ANUM.

Selection Criteria

• Current registration with AHPRA
• Working with Children check
• Experience in a Mental Health or Early Parenting setting
• Post‑graduate qualification in Mental Health or Maternal and Child Health
• Compliance with ACQSHC national standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong commitment to developing in a management role
• Commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer‑focused care
• High degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databases
• Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
• Proven time management and prioritisation skills
• Demonstrated knowledge base in labour management
• HR management experience
• Post‑graduate management course or working towards desired
