Job descriptionSoon-to-be or recent graduates completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (graduating in 2025 or early 2026) Eligible for or currently holding AHPRA registration Aligned with Lifestart’s values and motivated to make a difference Confident communicators and natural collaborators Flexible, empathetic, and open to learning Holders of a current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to obtain them Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (3 doses) or holding a valid exemption Holders of a current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle Structured and comprehensive orientation Regular clinical supervision with a senior therapist Discipline-specific and transdisciplinary learning, including group programs and access to an online learning hub Gradual caseload build-up with realistic, achievable KPIs Peer support and mentoring through joint sessions and team-based learning Supportive multidisciplinary team environment Dedicated manager for early career guidance Provision of work laptop and phone Flexible work arrangements, including work-from-home options 12-month Allied Health Graduate Program to support transition from university to practice Regular clinical supervision and mentoring Access to discipline-specific and transdisciplinary learning opportunities Collaboration with Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, and Behaviour Support Practitioners
Join Lifestart as a Graduate Occupational Therapist supporting children and young people in Western Sydney through a comprehensive Allied Health Graduate Program.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include :
- Working with children, young people, and their families to set and achieve meaningful goals
- Delivering services in clients' homes, schools, preschools, community, online, or Lifestart offices
- Managing a diverse caseload to develop clinical skills in self-care, sensory and emotional regulation, motor skills, play, social interactions, and life skills
- Contributing to group programs and training for families, schools, and early childhood settings
- Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support client inclusion in everyday communities
