Overview

Lecturer, Electrical & Electronics or Robotics & Mechatronics Engineering. Join the Department of Electrical, Robotics and Biomedical Engineering to deliver innovative teaching, research, and industry engagement. The role contributes to high-quality teaching and learning experiences in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Robotics & Mechatronics Engineering, delivering lectures, tutorials, and workshops on campus and online, and assessing student learning across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance academic programs, contribute to curriculum design, and support program innovation.
  • Mentor and advise students on academic matters and supervise Honours, Masters, and PhD research projects.
  • Contribute to the School’s research performance through high-quality publications, securing external research funding, and participating in collaborative projects.
  • Build and maintain strong links with industry, government, and the wider community to enhance the relevance and impact of teaching and research.
  • Support administrative and governance activities within the School.

About You

  • Experience teaching in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Robotics & Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Passion for innovative teaching and learning, including blended and online delivery.
  • Experience supervising group projects, ideally in collaboration with industry partners.
  • A developing research track record with quality publications, and ambition to grow it further.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • The drive (or potential) to attract external research funding.
  • Qualifications

    An earned doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline or a related field.
