The Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology at Westmead Hospital covers most aspects of Diabetes and Endocrinology care. The majority of our services are provided in the outpatient setting, but also with a large inpatient consultative service. In 2021, Westmead was ranked in the top 100 hospitals in the world for Endocrinology by Newsweek Statistica.

This is a Fixed Term appointment until 1 October 2026. As the position is Up to 0.7FTE, a fractional appointment may be considered.

Conditions of appointment are in accordance with the Staff Specialists (State) Award.

Essential Criteria

• Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award / Health Insurance Act 1997. Must have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency. Must hold a current NSW Environment Protection Authority license (if applicable).
• Sound clinical knowledge in Diabetes and Endocrinology demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
• Expertise in the management of diabetes, diabetes in pregnancy, and menopause would be an advantage.
