Overview
Clyde & Co are seeking a general insurance litigation lawyer ideally with 3+ years' post qualification experience.
Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of complex and interesting work across insurance litigation, including general insurance, life insurance, professional indemnity, financial lines, directors' and officers' coverage and defence work, medical indemnity, personal injury, public and products liability, regulatory and indemnity advice.
- Represent a client base including major Australian insurers, international insurers, underwriters and reinsurers.
- Work with leading specialists in the field in a collaborative environment with mentoring and career development opportunities within the team.
Candidate profile
Australian or dual qualified, with relevant litigation experience gained in an international or local law firm.3+ years PQE, ideally in general insurance / insurance litigation.Experience across defence of directors' and officers' liability and professional indemnity insurance claims, defending claims involving large construction projects, product and public liability claims, multi-party litigation, class actions is highly regarded.Experience working on litigation matters and defending claims in all courts and tribunals in Australia, with a commitment to technical excellence.Commercial awareness and confidence in building a rapport with clients to gain a better understanding of their business needs and, with the assistance of the partner, actively developing these client relationships.About the firm and culture
