Job descriptionTrade or tertiary qualification in Mechanical / HVAC or Building Services (preferred). 3–5+ years’ experience in HVAC service or project management. Technical expertise across mechanical systems such as chillers, boilers, VAV, PAC, VRF, and BMS. Demonstrated success pricing and delivering minor works projects up to $500k. Proven ability to support and lead a team of technicians. Excellent communication and client relationship management skills. Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of Australian Standards, WHS legislation, and industry best practice. Key leadership position within a growing HVAC contractor. Diverse role spanning technical, operational, and client management responsibilities. Competitive salary package (Up to $150k + Car) aligned with your experience. Overview
Commercial HVAC business with over 40 years in the industry. They require an Ops manager in a newly created role due to growth.
Responsibilities
- As Operations Manager, oversee the smooth delivery of both service and minor works projects (up to $500k).
- Prepare and submit pricing and proposals for minor works projects (up to $500k).
- Act as the main point of contact for service clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Provide technical support to a small team of technicians, assisting with troubleshooting.
- Oversee scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation across service and projects.
- Monitor budgets, compliance, and performance to ensure projects are delivered on time and to spec.
- Support the Managing Director with reporting, forecasting, and business improvements.
- Drive safety, quality, and compliance with Australian Standards and WHS requirements.
