The Marketing Data Science, Analytics & Insights team is responsible for empowering Xero to deliver successful digital, product, customer & marketing outcomes through actionable insights. We enable digital, marketing and product teams with key information to; understand the current trends, customer and scape, inform and motivate customer behavior and shape customer, product & marketing strategy. The teams we work with are split geographically between the US and Australia
What you'll doPartner with business to shape the opportunities of data enrichment can be used to leverage the commercial or customer benefitsPartner closely with stakeholders to understand business use cases, advise on solution design, and create product requirementsWork entrepreneurially to make sure our products are meeting business units needs and benefitsInterpret the semantic meaning of internal and third party data and translate to technical requirements in data productsMap the business process how the data enrichment we will be utilisedUse and enable an experiment based approach to measure and improve our products and business.Work cross-functionally with engineering, science, legal, strategy and marketing teams to build products that fit into Xero's tech stackEnsure robust, reliable, and predictable operation of data productsWhat you'll bring with youBachelor degree with 5+ years of industry experience in digital or marketing science domainDeep knowledge in utilising data and working with 3rd party vendors Experience building and scaling data enriched productsExperience in running cross functional data programs and business mapping data processes, and building data enriched productsProven track record of building out a data-driven culture where data drives the strategy forward.Ability to break down complex data and deliver meaningful, actionable insights to stakeholders in a clear and digestible wayTechnical skills : semantic understanding of associated data, SQL and ability to interrogate data setsStrong communication skills with the ability to break down complex topics into simple solutions and ideas for technical and non technical stakeholdersExperience or knowledge of accounting and small businesses is a plus.Why Xero?Offering very generous paid leave to use however you'd like (plus statutory holidays!), dedicated paid leave to care for your physical and mental wellbeing as well as an Employee Assistance Program to access mental health care for you and your family, health insurance, life insurance, and income protection, wellbeing and sports programmes, employee resource groups, 26 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers, an Employee Share Plan, beautiful offices, flexible working, career development, and many other benefits that reflect our human value, you'll do the best work of your life at Xero.
